Browser Extension

Our Cashback Goat browser extension shows you when a store you visit offers cash back through Cashback Goat, and lets you activate it in one click. It works as follows:

• Store matching happens on your device. The extension downloads our list of supported store websites and compares the address of the page you are on against it locally. The addresses of the pages you visit are never sent to us.
• What we receive. Only when you are on a supported store's website, the extension requests that store's cash back details from us. The request identifies the store, not the page you are viewing, and carries your normal Cashback Goat login cookie so the extension can show whether you are signed in and your first name. If you use the store search in the extension's popup, the text you type is sent to us to find matching stores, as with the search on our website.
• What is stored in your browser. The list of supported stores, cached store details, and the stores you recently activated so they can be shown as activated. This data stays in your browser's extension storage.
• Activation only when you click. Cash back is activated only when you click Activate or open a store from the extension. You are then sent through our tracked link, the same one used on our website. Cashback Goat earns a commission from the store and shares it with you as cash back. The extension never activates offers or changes links automatically.
• No selling of data. We do not sell or share data from the extension, and we do not use it for advertising.

You can remove the extension at any time from your browser's extensions page, which deletes the data it stored.
